Contempory Art Ocean Table Lamp
This beautiful lamp is one of my Seascape lights. These lights are where my journey as a light-maker started 7 years ago. I had spent a lot of years painting sea and water, and it's interaction with the light, and reflections. One day I decided I wanted to make myself a light that looked like the sea - so I did!
Each lamp is exquisitely unique, and I mix my own paints for these lamps. The effect of the paints captures the ocean and they look fluid with a sense of movement. They are designed to be beautiful objects during the day, where you will see different things in it, but at night, at the flick of a switch, they are completely transformed. The lights are finished with some glass 'bubbles'. This light is in shades of blue with a little creamy seafoam. When it is on there are various shades of blue with just a hint of turquoise, and a very subtle green. I have frosted the other 3 sides with a seafoam effect, which helps to throw out more light. It is fitted with a UK 3-pin plug, and a low energy, white B22 LED bulb. The cable is approximately 2 meters long. It is really difficult to photograph when turned on, it actually looks far superior to the image. The glass vessel I use for this is new, not repurposed - but is made from recycled glass.
