A beautiful baby Sea Dragon, handmade with love and joy in Cornwall. This gorgeous little Dragon, who's name is Azurkai, is hoping to find his forever home. Azurkai is hand painted, and then hand poured, using epoxy resin. I spend at least an hour (often more) painting these little beauties, picking out details, and highlighting different areas. Once poured, my little Dragon waited to one side to cure, whilst I then painted the background. I have created a watery ocean background, using watercolours, some with the tiniest of shimmers. I kept the colour palette soft, so it doesn't overwhelm, or overshadow, the Dragon, who is after all, the star of the show!

Every little Dragon I make, I name, as they come alive in my imagination. This little one inhabits the shallows off the cornish coast. His sire is the magnificent Sheshakai, a beautiful Sea Dragon from the Sea of Japan, who I painted several years ago. His mother a gentle and sweet soul, she has shimmering scales, the colour of the corals in the South Pacific, were she was born.

Azurkai is presented in a deepset, white box-frame, which measures 26cm square. It can either be hung on the wall, or be freestanding. This is the first one I have made, painted a picture for, and framed like this. I wanted to create uplifting ocean vibes, with a sense of fun. Something completely unique that will make people smile! I'm hoping to make more, but each and every one will be unique, and named. I really hope you like him 😊
